The challenge

Atlas's ERP was end-of-life: maintenance fees rising, customizations brittle, and the vendor pushing a seven-figure cloud migration. Meanwhile shop-floor data lived in spreadsheets, and finance re-keyed hundreds of supplier invoices weekly.

The solution

AnyStacks deployed the ERP Stack — ERPNext with manufacturing modules, Nextcloud for drawings and quality docs, Mattermost for shift communication, Metabase for plant KPIs — across a hybrid setup: EU cloud for the core, with read replicas close to the plant. Migration tooling mapped their legacy schema, and parallel-run lasted six weeks.

The AI angle

AI document intelligence reads supplier invoices and delivery notes from a Nextcloud inbox and posts draft entries to ERPNext — finance approves instead of typing. AI demand forecasting now sets reorder points per SKU from seasonality and order pipeline, and the Mattermost ops assistant answers production questions against live ERP data.

Results

  • Three-year TCO projected €1.2M below the legacy vendor's cloud quote
  • 97% of supplier invoices auto-captured; finance team redeployed to analysis
  • Stockouts down 31% in two quarters from AI-tuned reorder points
  • Plant KPIs visible in real time, replacing a week-old spreadsheet cascade
The ERP migration we feared for five years took one quarter. The AI invoice capture alone justified the project.
